Customers: Business to Consumer (B-C) websites allow a person browsing the Web to create themselves as a new customer. Business to Business websites generally do not allow this, and only customers already keyed into Macola may place orders.
Addresses: the customer can edit or create new shipping addresses, and also maintain their billing address.
Items: To correctly display all the information about an item on your website, a mixture of Macola and Asimilate data is used. Item descriptions, categorization, availability, additional attributes are examples of what can be displayed.
Pricing: Retail level pricing can be displayed for the retail Web customer browsing the website (default price / price codes). Once a customer logs in, any price codes for specific customer types or customer numbers can be used as well. The customer will see their specialized pricing along with quantity breaks.
Orders: New orders are placed by customers on the website. These orders are pushed into Macola. Whenever the order changes (invoiced, shipped, tracking numbers, comments, etc.) it is pushed back up to the website for the customer to see.
Payments:Most companies using Asimilate require new customers to pay with credit cards only. By adjusting the default terms code in Macola, certain customers can skip the credit card and pay according to the terms agreed upon (N30, N10, etc.).
